Boondocking

We are relatively new to Boondocking (dry camping), we started about five years ago. At first, we were apprehensive after all you have to drive off the pavement drive slowly on the solid area of the sand or gravel to find your spot. We found comfort when we got to our first Boondocking area there were some rigs a bit old and beat up, and surprisingly a lot of new motorhomes and even big bus rigs. So here the deal, Boondocking allows you to camp where you want with anywhere from one block away or 1 mile away, you come with your friends and circle the wagons or be by yourself. Open air very few rules and enjoy your own wilderness experience. It turns out that this is really, what we all want, don’t you think? Be in your motorhome in an area that allows you space and peace and quiet or be with friends to have a fun experience together. Here is a map of the California BLM camping areas. http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/info/maps/recreationmaps.html
